about

UKR brings the quality you expect once again with this powerful release titled 'Temporary Architecture EP' from French duo Crossmods, accompanied by exquisite remixes from legendary Sway Records founder Hertz, German techno heavy-weight Christian Kliché, and Chicago's infamous Lester Fitzpatrick and Drew Sky. We brought the big guns in on this jewel of a release. The stage is set as things open up with two analog masterpieces, handcrafted with attention to detail and intricate automation on a world-class level. Both 'Temporary Architecture' and 'Splitsen' weave acid lines, synths, percussion and effects in an effortless groove that keep the listener engaged and enthralled at the same time. Two stories are told here, and two classics are born from the minds they call Crossmods. With his music production memoirs just recently published, we thought it was fitting to have Swedish techno hero Hertz on board for this one. Known for his unbeatable production skills and first-rate taste in source material, we reached out to Pierre Jerksten aka Hertz on this project and what a remix he delivered! Hertz jacked, twisted and flexed 'Splitsen' into a massive floor burner, elevated with impeccable placed audio trickery done only they way Hertz does it. Grainy, wide, phat, deep and full of attitude, Hertz brought things to a level that few can attain. As if things couldn't get any more intense we brought in Christian Kliché from Cologne, Germany for a belter of a remix of 'Splitsen'. This sublime, futuristic, throbbing remix will pack the floor without hesitation as it bends reality with its analog undertones and warped out effects. Meant for the loudest of sound systems, this epic re-work will have heads turning and techno-heads scratching their heads with amazement. This is the true sound of German techno brought to you from a creative mind as sharp as a razor. Christian Kliché on top form and undoubtedly a name to pay close attention to. Lastly but definitely not least and in for the kill to bring you to your knees, we brought in two UKR Chicago techno dons who deliver tom laced, acid curdling jacking re-works of 'Temporary Architecture'. Known for their unfiltered raw take on everything banging, Lester Fitzpatrick and Drew Sky work their magic once again with their straightforward no-nonsense mixes of the incredibly complex original, stripping it of all its pretense and pushing it down your throats with intensity and attitude. These two Chi-town techno tools bang tough and deliver what UKR is known for...pure heat from the streets.
